Molly Ball has written an extraordinary article on the experience of Michael Fanone, a Metrpolitan Police office who was almost killed on January 6, 2021, as he defended the Capitol.
The article is so good that it made me subscribe to TIME today.
1) Molly Ball, “What Mike Fanone can’t forget,” TIME, August 5, 2021 (6:50 a.m. EST);
2) Jonathan Capehart, “The deplorable treatment of Michael Fanone and the heroes of Jan. 6,” Washington Post, August 7, 2021 (4:56 p.m. EDT).
Capehart’s op-ed drew the Observer’s attention to Molly Robert’s article.
Read Robert’s article, which translates the Capitol insurrention of January 6 into immediate personal terms, in a political context we all need to understand.
Fanone’s experience is one we should never forget.
